Introducing Nicholas! This little black-haired green-eyed cat kept me company as I was doing the final edits to Marcie Gill and the Caravan Park Cat, my first children’s book which stars a black-haired green-eyed magical cat called George. (Their likeness is pure coincidence – I started writing the story 8 years ago; my Mum and I adopted Nicholas in April 2020.) Alas, so far the now grown-up Nicholas hasn’t shown that much interest in the finished book…
